Issue reproduction: MacOS 10.4.6 (cintiq back switch set to DVI); Windows XP (cintiq switch not relevant: GMA950 driver set to 'digital' mode).
The problem appears to be relevant to video signal fine-tuning (that obviously can't be achieved with regular video drivers).
I downloaded SwitchResX (mac) and tried the custom settings.
The only result was the display going into analogue (VGA) mode. The Cintiq display couldn't manage to auto-adjust to the video source.
At that point I figured I have to forget about DVI (which in MacOS doesn't mean any big difference, as text is very anti-aliassed and blurry anyway), but the mac drivers for the Intel GMA950 video set don't include a software switch.
I remebered about the switch on the back of the Cintiq, which is totally useless when used with Windows computers.
I moved it to VGA mode and ran a 'detect displays' procedure from the display options.
That did the trick.
I finally see a plain black background with no noise. If I concentrate I think I can see something, but I can't yet tell if it's just my immagination.
I sent a hard message to Wacom, because I can't understant why they give such lame hardware for $2500.. a display that doesn't communicate with the video host.. it's incredible: it's a jump back to 1995.

SECOND ISSUE
I installed the tryout of Alias SketchBook Pro, and I can't get it to work. Strokes appear after no less than 10 seconds when I rollover other windows (causing refresh).
When I rollover the strokes again, they disappear!
What the ****!
It's obviosly a video drawing issue, not related to the tablet. Do you know any Universal Binary software for drawing on a mac intel???
